Louis Latour Inc. operates as a wholesale importer and exporter of Louis Latour wines in the United States, a role it has carried out since 1985. The company is based in San Rafael, California. Its Burgundy heritage is anchored in a family winemaking lineage dating to the 17th century. Maison Louis Latour owns one of the largest Grand Cru domaines in the Cote d’Or, totaling about 71.58 acres, with vineyards stretching from Chambertin in the north to Chevalier-Montrachet in the south and planted with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In its niche within the wholesale wine sector, the firm serves US partners seeking access to Burgundy-produced wines, leveraging the Domaine’s pedigree and the Latour name. A notable recent development involved leadership change: Retornaz is slated to retire as President at the end of 2024 and join Groupe Latour’s Advisory Board as Vice Chairman.
