Working collaboratively with leading South Carolina colleges and universities to provide Charleston-area residents convenient access to graduate-level academic programs, and leading faculty through our local campus. The LGC is a state-funded organization and offers degree and certificate programs in a growing number of subject areas, such as education, engineering, social work, and health & wellness. Our current graduate programs are offered through our founding institutions of the College of Charleston, The Citadel, and the Medical University of SC. Our most recent partners include the University of South Carolina and SC State University. We recognize that an educated populace is a key to economic growth and well-being, and we work with trusted advisors including business leaders, major employers, and academic institutions, throughout South Carolina to identify which graduate programs will be essential to meet workforce needs in the Lowcountry. That is why it is our goal to enable working professionals to grow their careers right here in the greater Charleston region. We aim to ensure that local students have access to the resources that are necessary for career advancement. If a required graduate program is not available through our current partners, the LGC can further partner with universities within South Carolina and out-of-state. The LGC is newly housed on Trident Technical College's Thornley Campus, Building 920, located off of Rivers Ave. in North Charleston. Our classrooms hold state-of-the-art technology, and we have partnered with Trident Tech to ensure students have access to modern amenities, and a variety of student support services, i.e., Tutor Matching Services.
