Lucy Tupu is an Industrial Designer with 20 years experience who lives and practices in NYC. Her work includes furniture, lighting, rugs as well as a full service custom designed rugs and carpets for the trade. Lucy is well connected to the Interior Design community in New York and offers all her clients a highly personalized service that is design driven and budget conscious. Lucy was born in New Zealand and raised with a strong Samoan heritage. She began her study of Industrial Design in New Zealand and graduated with Honors in 1997 from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Australia. Following her formal education she taught Industrial Design for six years at RMIT, and co-founded the design company ‘Mutant’. Lucy designed, built and exhibited her furniture and lighting creations within the design community in Melbourne until she left in 2004. Lucy was also an adjunct lecturer for Industrial Design at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in 2007 and 2008.
