Lutheran Bible Translators (LBT) is an independent Lutheran mission organization dedicated to helping people come to faith in Jesus Christ by making the Word of God available in languages communities consider their own. It carries out this mission through a network of missionaries, staff, and partners who work to reach language groups that have not yet received Scripture in the language closest to their hearts. Based in Concordia, Missouri, the organization operates in the religious institutions sector and functions as a mid-sized entity. The work centers on providing access to Scripture for communities, enabling engagement with the Bible in their native language. Recent initiatives include partnerships with local leaders to launch Bible translation movements and the Living Water project begun around 2020. In September 2024, LBT was recognized as a Best of Industry Winner for its faith-based website.
