The purpose of Lutheran Outdoor Ministries Center (LOMC) is to be the Church in outdoor settings, nurturing Christian faith and providing experiences connecting the Word of God with the World of God. LOMC is the tool of each individual Congregation within the Church. We are a resource, not a separate entity. We offer an extension of the ministry provided by the Church, not a different approach to sharing the message of Christ. Our mission statement gives us only one goal: To teach the Word of God in the World of God, no matter what environment participants are in. Rental facilities include high-comfort adult retreat buildings with hotel-style lodging, rustic cabins, and camping, and are open year-round. Our site is 640 acres, including over 8 miles of trails across prairies, forests, streams, bluffs and scenic ravines. Summer camp welcomes around 1000 kids for immersive experiences in Christian community through 30 unique outdoor adventures for kids K-12, families, and grandparents. All types of groups, churches, family groups, business conferences, and public schools use the year-round facilities and team-building programs at LOMC.
