Luzerne Music Center (LMC) builds artists and audiences of the future at a charming campsite located within New York's famed Adirondack Park. Each summer, LMC aims to provide world-class music instruction for passionate young people in a summer camp environment regardless of their financial circumstance. During two summer months, LMC presents more than 30 classical music concerts through the Luzerne Chamber Music Festival, Faculty Artist Series, and free student programs. Founded in 1980 by Philadelphia Orchestra cellist Bert Phillips and Steinway pianist Toby Blumenthal, LMC has helped to inspire thousands of musicians and concert-goers since inception. LMC's Faculty include members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, seasoned orchestral and chamber musicians, professors from top university and conservatory programs; and renowned guest artists. Notable Alumni include President and Artistic Director Elizabeth Pitcairn, the Ahn Trio, violinist Jennifer Haas, French hornist Beth Graham, clarinetist Christopher Pell, violist Gareth Zehngut and pianist Glen Inanga.
