Maas Energy Works is a family-owned renewable energy company based in Redding, California. Founded by Daryl Maas, who grew up in a dairy community, the company designs, builds, and operates on-farm facilities that convert cow manure and other organic wastes into biogas. The biogas is used to produce vehicle fuel, electricity, and heat, with hydrogen development planned for the future. Its customers are dairy farms across multiple states, and the firm operates the nation’s largest fleet of dairy digesters, serving more than 70 farms in eight states. A recent development includes a collaboration with Pacific Gas and Electric Company to commission a renewable natural gas interconnection, illustrating ongoing expansion of its energy system capabilities.
