Machine Industries (MI) was the parent company of multiple subsidiary studios, including: Machine Studios, Machinder Technologies, Machine Union, and Unconditional Studios. MI’s subsidiaries developed some of the most successful entertainment products and franchises of the previous decade for their clients and partners. Following the closure of its subsidiary studios, MI permanently closed in December 2020. 

MI’s purpose was to ensure the health of the subsidiary businesses (through people operations and business development), in order to ensure that the team members and their families had secure competitive salaries, healthy work/personal life balance, and competitive benefits (including but not limited to health, dental, vision, life, AD&D, 401(k), paid vacation, sick leave, maternity leave, and more).  After more than a decade of healthy year-over-year growth for the organization, two of MI’s subsidiaries, Machine Studios and Unconditional Studios, experienced an overwhelming collateral loss from a much larger publisher’s impending closure. With great sadness, and while on the verge of reaping the rewards of the organization’s greatest releases to-date (the studios’ largest game-to-date was in soft launch and the second largest was in Alpha), MI’s subsidiary studios were forced into closure. We have oceans of gratitude for the entire Machine family, all who held the line for one another through the years, and for our players and partners who helped us to make it all possible - thank you.
