The Mahaska Community Development Group (MCDG) is a non-profit economic development corporation comprised of individuals from the area manufacturing, banking and real estate sectors. MCDG is focused on: 1. retaining and attracting employers to the community; 
2. improving infrastructure - especially highway and aviation;
3. promoting pro-business public policy; and,
4. supporting cultural, recreational, and educational investments to maintain and attract a talented workforce for the area.
