Vernon McClure founded Main Street Homes in 1996 with one goal in mind- to Build New Homes with Quality and Style. Since then, Main Street Homes has grown to become one of the largest locally owned and operated new homebuilders in the area.  We build homes in Chesterfield, Henrico, Powhatan, New Kent, Dinwiddie, Hanover, and Goochland Counties and in over 20 communities— Everywhere You Want to Live!

We build homes that provide our customers with a predictable building schedule and personal design choices that reflect their tastes, all without the cost and unknowns of building a custom home.  Our homes are built with durable name brand products, include valuable standard finishes and have been built to higher standards set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  We have earned our great reputation one happy homeowner at a time because we value our customer’s experience. Main Street Homes is proud to be recognized as an Energy Star Partner of the Year, a national award given by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  We’ve been an Energy Star Market Leader for over 5 years, meaning we’ve built the most Energy Star homes in RVA annually.  Additional industry accolades include multiple awards for Homebuilder of the Year of 150+ Homes by the Home Building Association of Richmond and over 120 Parade of Homes Awards awarded by HBAR since 1996.
