The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) serves as Malta’s sole regulator of financial services, established by law in 2002 after taking over supervision from the Central Bank of Malta, the Malta Stock Exchange, and the Malta Financial Services Centre. It operates as an autonomous public institution that reports to Parliament on an annual basis.
