Mariposa Education is a small nonprofit focused on Education Administration Programs. It delivers targeted training, ongoing coaching, and consulting to help adults strengthen social-emotional and behavioral skills in the young children they live with or work with, emphasizing the adults' competencies. Founded in 2002 to support child development, Mariposa began with parenting workshops and later expanded to work with school systems, public, charter, private, independent, and parochial schools, child care centers, hospitals, and other organizations. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, it has engaged a diverse group of advisors and trustees, including executives and alumni from Living Classrooms, Learn It Systems, International Baccalaureate, Laureate Education, The Y in Central Maryland, Progressus Therapy, and Johns Hopkins. The nonprofit has served more than 100 school systems and a wide range of educational and community settings.
