Founded in 1952 in El Dorado, Arkansas by Charles Murphy (founder of Murphy Oil Corporation – MUR on the NYSE).  Marmik was originally created to be a holding company for legacy natural resource assets such as timber and farm land tracts as well as producing oil wells.  

Over the 60 year course of the company, Marmik has pursued ways to creatively explore and develop oil & gas across North America.  We have had offices in Colorado, Alberta, Louisiana, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas and England.

We see the next step-shift in energy development to be in infrastructure deployment, and our forward looking plans include significant work in helping shape and implement technologies in truly innovative ways both domestically and internationally.  Marmik is an exploration company at the core genetic structure, and we continue to develop new ways to discover resources that can be developed and deployed safer, cleaner, faster, cheaper.
