Mary Lee’s House is a child protection and advocacy center that serves victims of child abuse and neglect in Hillsborough County. We provide a child friendly environment for representatives of many disciplines (including law enforcement, child protection, prosecution, mental health, medical and social services) to work together and ensure that child victims of abuse receive the services they need in one place. Prior to the construction of MLH, children were served in a variety of locations requiring multiple transports, frequently resulting in prolonged and fragmented care. We are a unique, state-of-the-art facility, and we foster a nurturing environment which minimizes trauma to children and their families while increasing effectiveness in service delivery.
