The Masters Leadership Program of Greater San Antonio is a nonprofit that enables experienced executives to contribute to the community through nonprofit and civic board service and volunteerism. Founded in 2004 by Jane Phipps under the United Way umbrella, the program is based in San Antonio, Texas, and targets leaders who are retired, semi-retired, or nearing the end of their full-time careers. Each year, roughly 50 participants undertake an intensive 13-day curriculum spread over six months, featuring field trips and talks by sector experts focused on issues relevant to Bexar County. The program aims to deepen participants' understanding of local needs and secure their commitment to service, primarily through board roles and volunteer activity. Since inception, more than 600 graduates have assisted over 300 nonprofits, public agencies, and organizations in leadership positions, reflecting the program's role in connecting seasoned leaders with community needs.
