Maumee Valley Country Day School is an accredited, coeducational independent PreK–12 school offering day and boarding options in Toledo, Ohio. Founded in 1842 as an all-girls finishing school in Western New York, it moved to the Toledo region in 1884 and sits on about 70 acres eight miles from downtown Toledo, with forests and trails that support forest school for younger students. It serves students from Ohio, Michigan, across the United States, and around the world, prioritizing a small, personalized learning environment within a rigorous college-preparatory program that emphasizes experiential and global learning. The school operates within the primary and secondary education sector as an independent option that combines traditional academics with opportunities for outdoor and experiential education. In May 2025, MVCDS announced the appointment of David Skoczyn as head coach of the boys' varsity soccer team, reflecting ongoing program development.
