McDaniel College is a private, four-year liberal arts and sciences college located in Westminster, Maryland, founded in 1867. It offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs and emphasizes experiential learning and close student–faculty collaboration. The Green Terror athletic program includes more than 20 teams competing in NCAA Division III's Centennial Conference, and the college serves a student body of about 1,600 undergraduates and 1,400 graduate students, with a European campus in Budapest. Situated in the Mid-Atlantic higher education landscape, McDaniel provides access to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. In 2026, the college announced the appointment of Caroline R. Sherman as provost, effective July 1.
