The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is a higher education institution located in Princess Anne, Maryland, a short drive from the Atlantic Ocean and the Chesapeake Bay. Founded in 1886 as a land-grant university, it emphasizes teaching, research, and outreach with a focus on stewardship of the environment, land, and sea.
