Meadowlands YMCA is a nonprofit organization providing community-based wellness, enrichment, and youth development programs through a network of facilities and sites in the Meadowlands area of New Jersey. Established in 1920, the association serves a service area of about 127,000 households and welcomes more than 350,000 visitors annually, offering programs that aim to support healthy living, nurture children, and foster social responsibility. The organization supports local families and individuals across ages, including infants through seniors, by offering a broad range of activities and services designed to improve mind, body, and spirit. The central facility opened in 2017 at 390 Murray Hill Parkway, East Rutherford, in a building formerly used by the NBA’s New Jersey Nets, marking the association’s first centrally located property, with a network of more than 30 sites complementing its program delivery. In recent years, the YMCA has engaged in partnerships and community initiatives, including collaborations focused on food assistance and safety education, and has continued to expand access to programs and resources for residents of Bergen County.
