Med James, Inc. is a privately held insurance intermediary placing commercial and personal lines through independent retail agencies. As such, we underwrite and broker individual submissions according to the risk selection and pricing guidelines of our admitted and non-admitted company partners. Additionally, our insurance company, Key, is an admitted carrier insuring private passenger auto in five states. 

In addition to our professional experience and quality of markets, two operational characteristics further differentiate us: the autonomy granted to each of our branch offices and our commitment to marketing. Each branch office operates in accordance to corporate business practice guidelines while, most importantly, maintaining a distinct regional identity with local management, local underwriting and local field marketing representation. We understand that this connection to the regional business culture has enabled the extraordinary success of our branch office network in providing the independent agent with excellent products and service. 

We are growing. Our transportation and property and casualty products are written coast to coast and our specialty proprietary programs range from the Ohio Valley to the Pacific seaboard. Key Insurance Company is preparing to open new states in late 2013. We are growing because we continue to focus on our commitment to the independent agent, the real driver of our success.
