Medidenta operates in the medical equipment manufacturing sector with a focus on dental devices. The company traces its origins to 1944, when Medidenta Dental Supplies was founded by the Benton family, evolving from an importer and distributor of European dental products to developing its own dental devices, including the Giromatic, the first automated device for root canal therapy introduced in 1969. Through the 1970s it promoted automated endodontics with hands-on training seminars for dentists across the United States, and it continued introducing innovations that enhanced endodontic care.

Today the company is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Its long history in endodontic automation positions it within the dental equipment manufacturing field, serving dental professionals seeking to enhance procedural efficiency and patient outcomes. In October 2021, Medidenta International, Inc. announced the appointment of Cherie Boles as sales director for North America.
