Established in Astoria N.Y. in 1964 “MEDITERRANEAN” has been baking Pita Flat-Breads, every day, with absolutely no interruption.
From our very first steps, we set the quality of the ingredients we use & the traditional craftsmanship of our bakers as our foremost important production criteria.
It is that philosophy that quickly established “MEDITERRANEAN” as the “Standard Setting Quality Leader” in our industry.
In 1997, we partnered up with “CORFU FOODS” out of Chicago IL. “CORFU FOODS” is a leading manufacturer of “Gyro meat products”.  The two companies, with complementing product lines were able to offer to our combined clientele a “one stop shop – directly from the source” for all the necessary ingredients; a distributor catering to traditional “Gyro Store” needs. 
In 2006 the company took the next rational step forward.  Always with the same criteria we use for everything we produce, we sought out & partnered up with some of the most reputable manufacturers from around the world. New product lines with Food service & Retail store sale applications. 
Our objective is to offer superior standard quality alternatives to the restaurateur & the retailer that wishes to feature the best genuine products with authentic flavors and truly wholesome ingredients at the most competitive and fair price.
