Mental Health America of Southeast Florida (MHASEFL) is a regional nonprofit dedicated to promoting mental health and addressing mental illness through education, prevention, advocacy, research, and empowerment. It runs a range of programs for families, children, and professionals, including parent education and support, co-parenting resources, Listen to Children, I'm Thumbody, and the 9Muses Art Center, as well as public education and professional training. The organization also operates a warm line, known as the Seth Line, and positions itself as a convener, coordinator, and collaborator to advance community mental wellness. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Southeast Florida, MHASEFL traces its origins to 1957 when it began as the Mental Health Association of Broward County. It is affiliated with Mental Health America and the World Federation for Mental Health, serves as the Florida Outreach Partner for the National Institute of Mental Health, and holds the 3-year Gold Seal of CARF Accreditation, the highest level of accreditation available.
