Merry Mart began as the Santa Clara Valley's largest children's department store in 1946 selling children's clothes, shoes, toys, books, First Communion and baptismal gowns, school uniforms and many other items.  In 1993, the focus shifted to exclusively children's school uniforms, serving public and private schools in the counties of Santa Clara, Alameda, and Santa Cruz. 

In 1999, MM Embroidery, a division of Merry Mart Uniforms, was added to provide in-house embroidery services as well as serving the local community's embroidery needs.  MM Embroidery provides custom embroidery for individuals, schools, groups, and businesses.
