We are Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service (MFRS). Our vision is to be the best Fire & Rescue Service in the UK- One team, putting our communities first. We will do everything we can to save lives and keep our firefighters safe.

MFRS provides a wide range of emergency response and prevention services. We have 22 Community Fire Stations and a Marine Rescue Unit who protect and respond to the 1.4 million residents of Merseyside. 

Our Home Fire Safety Check programme is at the heart of our prevention strategy. We have fitted over 1 million free smoke detectors, giving bespoke fire safety advice and signposting at risk members of the community to partner service providers.

Our response standards remain among the fastest in the country and we aim to achieve a response within 10 minutes on 90% of occasions.
