Messinas was founded in 1998 when father and son Jim and James Messina decided to transition the family service business specializing in deer damage control into a manufacturing business with the goal of bringing safe, effective and innovative lawn and garden products to people all across the US. What began as a single product for deer damage prevention called Deer Stopper® soon became a complete animal repellent line for a wide array of pest problems including reptiles, mammals and birds under the tag line, “From mice to moose, Messinas stops them all.” Messinas’ product lines now include the Animal Stopper® line of animal repellents, PLOTSAVER® food plot and large scale growing protection systems, INVISITRAPS® insect and rodent bait and poison traps, Seedlingers® fertilizers and plant health products and PULVERIZE™ weed and plant killers.
