The Metropolitan Opera Club is a private hospitality organization headquartered in New York City. Its origins trace to 1892–1893, when a fire at the Metropolitan Opera House led Oliver Sumner Teall and Preble Tucker to convert undamaged surrounding spaces into a supper club for theater-goers. Stanford White designed the interior, including a miniature stage and boxes, and the club held its grand opening on January 10, 1893.

By 1895 the group had taken the name Opera Club, and in 1899 it formally incorporated as the Metropolitan Opera Club to cultivate vocal and instrumental music, support operatic and musical performances, and promote social interaction among its members. The club historically attracted leading figures in New York society and opera enthusiasts, reflecting its role at the intersection of cultural engagement and social life. Today the organization remains a small operation within the hospitality sector, rooted in its long-standing connection to New York's opera scene.
