Founded in 1982, Microcom Corporation is a Columbus, Ohio based manufacturer specializing in thermal printing products, media, and printing accessories for the kiosk and barcode industry.

Microcom began as a reseller/integrator of printer solutions for a wide range of businesses. As its systems integration experience grew, however, so did the frustrations with generic products offered by the major printer manufacturers. As a result, a  line of specialized bar code printers was developed, and today it has expanded its corporate headquarters to a 30,000 square foot design and manufacturing facility.

From its onset, Microcom has been heavily involved in creating solutions for, international postal applications, specialized packaging and palletizing industries, pharmaceutical manufacturers, healthcare providers, entertainment applications, and parcel service labeling.
