Small to mid-market Midwest Design Computers operates with a small team (2-10 employees) but offers a broad IT services portfolio including servers, networking, surveillance, access control, and cloud-related offerings, presenting opportunities to position scalable, affordable managed services for small businesses and SMBs transitioning to integrated IT ecosystems.

Security & surveillance A strong emphasis on computerized digital video surveillance, access control, monitored alarms, and related security infrastructure aligns with sales opportunities in SMEs seeking end-to-end security integration, remote monitoring, and operator-ready security management solutions.

Cloud and connectivity Existing tech stack and service lines include hosting, networking, off-site backups, and reliance on Cloudflare services, suggesting upsell potential for enhanced cloud-based disaster recovery, secure remote access, and performance-optimized web and DNS infrastructure for business clients.

Affordability & refurb Offering refurbished PCs and laptops alongside customized computer systems positions MDC as a cost-conscious partner for startups, educational institutions, or small offices seeking budget-friendly IT hardware paired with tailored configurations.

Growing market fit The company’s service mix mirrors segments dominated by larger security and IT providers but with a lean team, indicating opportunities to partner or co-sell with bigger players, while targeting similar customer profiles as mid-tier competitors with personalized, responsive local service.
