Miedema Produce was founded in 1971 by brothers Gerald and Ron Miedema, who began by growing crops in Jenison, Michigan, drawing on their father’s Dutch farming heritage. The company specializes in radishes, a hallmark product that has driven its growth into one of the world’s largest radish growers and shippers. To support year-round supply, the For You brand radishes were grown in Florida for a period, and in 1998 the company opened farms in Phoenix, Arizona, where production runs November through May, with Michigan production from June to October. 

Today, Miedema Produce ships more than one hundred different products to customers across the United States and Canada. The business operates from new offices and state-of-the-art production facilities, with expanded refrigerated space and a 50% increase in temperature-controlled production capacity to support efficiency and food safety. Based in Hudsonville, Michigan, the company employs a mid-sized workforce to run its multi-region growing and distribution network.
