Miller-Keystone Blood Center is the sole community blood center serving local hospitals in Eastern and Northeastern Pennsylvania and Western New Jersey, providing blood products and transfusion services. Founded in 1971, MKBC operates within America's Blood Centers, a national network of independent, non-profit community blood centers that collectively account for about 60% of the blood transfusions in the United States. The organization emphasizes high-quality standards and service excellence in line with FDA requirements, delivering safe, reliable blood products for more than five decades. Based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, MKBC maintains seven donation sites across its service area, including Bethlehem, Cedar Crest, Hamilton Street, Palmer Township, Reading, Pittston, and Trenton/Ewing. In December 2025, MKBC announced the launch of the City's EMS Pre-Hospital Blood Program, developed in partnership with the City of Allentown and the Allentown Bureau of EMS.
