Through corrective exercise programs, nutrition coaching, massage therapy, and lifestyle support, Mind Body Motion (MBM) is dedicated to assisting individuals in helping themselves. MBM was opened in 1998 by Luis Ponce Sr. Having worked for 25 years at a number of clinics and health clubs, Luis’ vision was to create an environment where people could prevent and recover from injuries as well as enhance their natural abilities and performance. Our principles of evaluation and program design are based upon 17 years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and strength conditioning, as well as on the C.H.E.K (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology) program developed by Paul Chek, an expert in sports science, holistic health, and neuromuscular therapy. MBM takes a holistic approach to clients' treatment and development. We believe that the body acts as a ‘system of systems,’ and as such, no one system deficit or dysfunction can be considered in isolation. Our team demonstrates the path to true health through addressing six foundational principles: 1. Thoughts 2. Breathing 3. Hydration 4. Nutrition 5. Exercise 6. Sleep Our focus is to help clients recover permanently from their current conditions to a state of full functional fitness through corrective stretching, exercise and postural re-education, as well as nutrition education.
