Our firm is based in Santa Barbara, but we serve a diverse clientele locally, nationally, and globally. No matter where our clients are located or how complex their issue, we offer close attention to each aspect of each case and work to build long-lasting relationships. 

We specialize in insurance matters. Our attorneys draw from a combined 80 years of experience with this ever-evolving area of law and have collectively handled thousands of cases of varying complexity. For carrier clients, we provide detailed and objective coverage opinions regarding claims made by an insured or third-party claimant. We also draft clear, concise, and specific reservation of rights or disclaimer letters and attend mediation to assert coverage arguments. For policy-holder clients, we assess policies and ensure that our clients obtain the maximum coverage they are entitled to under the law. We also frequently represent clients in a wide range of coverage litigation actions.

We also practice civil litigation. Our firm is frequently retained by insurance carriers to defend their insureds against third-party claims; however, we are also often retained directly by clients. We strive to achieve swift, just, cost-effective, and (where possible) amicable resolution of insurance claims, lawsuits, and legal disputes of all types.
