The Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) is a Singapore government ministry, previously named the Ministry of Communications and Information. It steers Singapore’s digital development across four domains: economy, government, security, and society, and oversees the development of information and communications technology, cybersecurity, and the media sectors, as well as the government’s digitalisation initiatives. The ministry also administers the national library, national archives, and public libraries, and is responsible for effective public communications and information policy. Based in Singapore's Central Region, it is a sizeable public-sector organization. In May 2026, MDDI announced a collaboration with OpenAI to establish an Applied AI Lab in Singapore as part of its AI strategy.
