The Ministry of Finance (MOF) of Singapore manages the country's fiscal policy and shapes the structure of its economy. Founded in 1963, MOF operates within the government to ensure that businesses operating in Singapore comply with international standards and practices in company law, accounting, and corporate governance. It collaborates with industry experts and engages with key stakeholders to review and update rules so they remain aligned with the evolving business and financial environment. Its customers are businesses and other entities operating under Singapore's jurisdiction, for whom MOF provides a regulatory framework that supports compliance and economic management. Based in the Central Region, the ministry employs a few hundred staff. In 2025, MOF partnered with ComCare and other community organizations to roll out an enhanced transport-support scheme aimed at easing costs for lower-income groups.
