The Minnesota Chorale is a mid-sized professional chorus based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, founded in 1972. It serves as the principal chorus of the Minnesota Orchestra and is widely regarded as one of the leading professional choruses in the United States, under the artistic direction of Kathy Saltzman Romey since 1995. In addition to its concert work, the organization operates a multi-generational ensemble structure, including the Minneapolis Youth Chorus (established 2007) and Prelude choir for younger singers to foster musical development. Voices of Experience, launched in 2010 in partnership with the MacPhail Center for Music, provides opportunities for mature singers to pursue vocal excellence and contribute to the community through song. The Chorale also pursues community engagement and education through its Bridges programs and independent choral presentations, reinforcing its connections beyond the concert hall.
