The Minnesota Environmental Fund operates as a statewide network of Minnesota-based environmental and conservation organizations that collaborate to protect and restore the state's natural resources through employee giving. Its purpose is to facilitate contributions from employees to support groups focused on conserving resources, managing parks, reducing toxic threats to air, land, and water, and minimizing landfill waste. The organization serves nonprofit environmental and conservation groups as its primary beneficiaries and targets companies and their employees as donors, helping them channel workplace giving to aligned causes. Based in St. Paul, Minnesota, the Fund functions within the fundraising industry, positioning itself as a coordinating platform that aggregates support for credible environmental nonprofits across the state. The initiative emphasizes community-level environmental protection and restoration through coordinated giving, and it provides a conduit for ongoing engagement via a LinkedIn group for updates.
