In 1976, Miraco (MISR REFRIGERATION & AIR CONDITIONING MFG. Co. S.A.E) was founded as a joint stock company by its Chairman Adel Barakat, who has been in the industry over 44 years. The original factory, built in 1979 in Abu Rewash, was 5,400 m2 and had a production capacity of 2,000 Boxes per year with a total workforce of 250 employees. In 1992, Miraco signed a joint venture agreement with Carrier Corporation. Since then, Miraco Carrier has become the largest heating, ventilation, and air conditioning company in Africa. In 2010 Midea joined (Carrier 37.5%, Midea 32.5%) and In 2019 Midea share increased to be 51%. Today, Factory operates with cutting-edge manufacturing technology and boasts a total working space exceeding 90,000 square meters. Since its humble beginnings in 1976, our production capacity has grown to over 1 million boxes per year, supported by a dedicated workforce of more than 1,400 employees. Miraco is a leading name in the Egyptian market, known for its quality manufacturing, distribution, HVAC contracting, commercial refrigeration, and service divisions. We have the largest dealership network in the country and the largest Air-condition service organization.
