Winner of the Petco Foundation's "Helping Heroes" Award and the ASPCA's Henry Bergh Founders Award in 2017, Mission K9 Rescue is a non profit organization with offices in Houston and San Antonio, Texas and Thousand Oaks, California. From these locations we provide assistance and support for Working Dogs worldwide. We operate Veteran K9 Ranch in Magnolia, Texas where we board, treat, rehabilitate and evaluate newly retired dogs prior to them being made available for public adoption. Our organization’s purpose for existence is to serve retiring and retired Military Working Dogs, Contract Working Dogs, and other Dogs who Serve as they may fit into our mission and scope. We believe that these hero dogs have a right to a good retirement, a loving home, and life long care. Mission K9 Rescue provides monetary, transportation, adoption, veterinary care and professional assistance for these retired hero dogs. Since 2013, we have rescued over 1300 certified working dogs, with over 600 being reunited with their former handlers. We have spent over $2,000,000 providing veterinary care for these great dogs. Mission K9 Rescue is professionally managed by Kristen Maurer, Louisa Kastner, and Bob Bryant. A host of volunteers provide invaluable assistance as do our donors and we would be unable to continue with out them. Thank you for your interest and support of the Mission K9 Rescue organization.
