In 1965, in the lunchroom of the IBM facility located in Dallas at 2911 Cedar Springs, 14 employees met and collectively deposited $150 to start IBM Southwest Employees Federal Credit Union and serve the financial needs of its employees. Over time more locations were added and additional products and services were introduced to meet the financial needs of individuals in surrounding communities. The commitment to serve and align ourselves with residents of these communities prompted us to change our name to YOUR Community Credit Union as it was a better reflection of the Credit Union's strategic vision. With the advances in technology, which redefined banking convenience, along with a growing and younger mobile society, we determined that a new name was needed to convey our capability to meet the dynamic changes taking place in the marketplace. In 2014, we changed our name to Mobility Credit Union. The name depicts our ability to enable customers to conduct banking transactions from anywhere and at any time, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. For over 50 years, MOBILITY Credit Union has striven to be a helpful place to the bank by providing customers with low auto, home, and credit card rates and savings and checking accounts that consistently pay above average market rates. At MOBILITY Credit Union we ensure the safety and security of your accounts first and foremost. We serve the DFW area as well as customers nationwide and abroad.
