Moms and Jobs, Inc. (MoJo) is a for-profit social venture, headquartered in the Boston and SF / Bay Areas, whose objective is to address the issues facing mothers who are poverty-stricken. Understanding the Problem: The economics of single-parent family mean that single mothers are disproportionately represented among the poor. Among U.S. households headed by single mothers, 33% live below the poverty line.
