Our mission may look simple but like so many things, the monster is in the details. Take the word “kick-ass,” for example. To us, true kick-assery spans three areas:

1) Chicks: Monster House heroines are strong. Sometimes that means they can fight like demons. In other cases, it’s their intelligence or determination that gets them through*. You get the idea.

2) Romance: Things get steamy in our books and we like it that way. Nuff said.

3) World Building: Monster House works hard to find new voices and storylines. If you’re searching for unique books, then check us out! 

Now we get to another tricky word in our mission statement, “publish.” We’re a bunch of nut jobs here at Monster House, and we won’t release a book unless:

- It’s part of a series plan that’s outlined at least three books ahead
- On an active series, we do at least one release a year
- There’s a link to buy the next book

All in all, ours may seem a simple mission, but we make it hard on ourselves so we can meet your need for kick-ass books. But what else would you expect? After all, we’re a bunch of monsters.
