The story of the “Montag & Caldwell” brand name traces its roots back to 1945, when Louis A. Montag started one of Atlanta’s earliest independent investment advisory firms. The current brand name of “Montag & Caldwell” was adopted in 1956.  Effective August 1, 2024, M&C operates as a distinct brand/business unit within Advocacy Wealth Management, LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser, pursuant to the terms of an asset purchase agreement.

Using our proprietary, time-tested investment strategies, we work to help our clients reach their financial goals and build their financial legacy. The cornerstone of our success lies in the consistency of our process, philosophy, and people.

Montag & Caldwell has provided proprietary investment solutions for our clients for over 75 years. As a distinct brand/business unit of a registered investment adviser, we will serve as a fiduciary of the Client. We provide investment management solutions developed and managed by our team, in house, as opposed to other firms which may outsource all or part of their solutions. Our investment team is backed by a proven and fundamental research discipline that has been in place for over 35 years.

While primarily known for managing equity securities, our firm’s experience also includes fixed income and asset allocation strategies. With an emphasis on managing risk, our investment professionals provide a holistic, solutions-based approach to investment management and our clients benefit from our firm’s expertise and success in serving sophisticated institutional investors as well as individuals and their families.
