Montes Wines is a mid-sized beverage producer based in Santiago, in the Santiago Metropolitan Region of Chile. It established its premium-wine identity with the 1988 release of Montes Alpha, signifying Chile's untapped potential for quality wines and setting a benchmark for the industry. The venture began with four partners whose close involvement, along with the Angels that adorn their labels, helped spur early success, and Aurelio Montes continues to lead winemaking with a sustained focus on quality. Over more than three decades, Montes has grown into one of Chile's most important wineries, continuing to push boundaries in winemaking. In January 2022, Montes Wines was recognized by 500 wine-industry experts as the fifth-best vineyard in the world and the top winery in Chile. The company's wines target markets seeking premium Chilean products, reflecting a commitment to quality-driven production that highlights the country's potential in winemaking.
