Moore was founded in 1979 as a commercial real estate development company with a platform for execution. Although the company has evolved to emphasize investment rather than development, its belief in the necessity of an execution platform has only strengthened. From inception, the principals of Moore personally select, lease, and invest in its projects. Moore has invested in millions of square feet and financed over one billion dollars in commercial real estate. Most of the product has been office buildings, but industrial, retail, flex space, and urban land assemblages have also been acquired. The traditional focus has been the acquisition of properties in which significant value could be added through the resolution of problems. However, Moore also undertakes stable properties in which risk and return are in balance.
