MORPC is Central Ohio’s regional planning commission, serving as the regional council for 90 local governments and community partners. Based in Columbus, Ohio, it coordinates community development and urban planning to guide growth and promote regional sustainability. It functions as a neutral platform that brings together communities of different sizes and interests to share best practices and plan for the region’s future. MORPC provides services to help local governments advance economic development and access the resources needed to implement projects. In 2022 it received the Safe Streets for All planning award for developing a comprehensive Safety Action Plan for the CORPO planning area, and in January 2026 MORPC launched an Economic Development program for governments, expanding its program offerings.
