Motive Mechatronics is creating a robot platform capable of performing tasks in a human environment through innovative hardware and control. Motive has built a fully-custom general purpose anthropomorphic robot, designed for commercial and consumer markets, that will solve real-world problems people face today in a multitude of markets focusing initially on repetitive tasks. Motive believes that robots that can sense contact with humans and objects around them will be necessary for safe and effective work. This sensing is built into the core of Motive’s products in the form of force sensitive control. This holistic approach to combining custom hardware with high speed software control allows Motive’s robots to respond faster and more accurately to real-world interactions. Motive has begun delivering robotic arms to select partners as of mid 2018. Motive’s background includes many years of experience in robot design, actuator and transmission technology, low-level control, software APIs, computer vision and IoT distribution.
