The mission of Mountain Valley Developmental Services is to encourage and support individuals with developmental disabilities, enhance their ability to live, learn, and work in an independent and inclusive manner, and educate the community about their contributions and capabilities. Mountain Valley provides services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Services for children from birth to age three are provided through the Early Intervention Program. Support for families who have a child with developmental disabilities is provided through the Family Support Services Program. Services for adults include supported services for daily living up to and including comprehensive 24 hour/7days a week residential support. Historic data indicates that Mountain Valley serves approximately 350 children and 125 adults each year. The children and their families are typically an un-duplicated number. The adult clients are serviced year after year. Mountain Valley provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Pitkin, Garield, Eagle and Lake counties.
