Music Aid Northwest (MANW) is a nonprofit organization that supports music education in Washington State's public schools. Harnessing the power of Washington’s strong music community, a group of all volunteers raise funds throughout the year to show that Music Matters in the Northwest. Since our inception, MANW has granted over one million dollars to over 150 schools across the state.

PLAY IT FORWARD
Play It Forward brings together the best of Washington’s musicians, community leaders, and local fans for an annual fundraising event that isn’t just your typical charity auction. Over its 10 years, Play It Forward has grown from a small gathering in a Woodinville bar to a full-scale concert event at the Triple Door—and it’s always a sold-out crowd. This celebration of Washington features incredible food, amazing Washington wines, and musical performances by local talent, including well-known rock stars, classical musicians, and student performers! During the event, MANW presents the Washington Music Icon Award to an individual who builds and supports the music community. Sponsoring Play It Forward is a great way to build brand awareness while participating in one of Seattle’s most unique fundraising events.
 
MUSIC MATTERS LICENSE PLATE
In 2010, we created the “Music Matters” specialty license plate that directly benefits music education in the state. After a public art contest for the design, the first plates were issued in 2012 and have consistently ranked in the top 20 of the almost 70 specialty plates available in Washington. Each year, the “Music Matters” plate raises around $60,000 towards education grants. We encourage you to help make that number grow while adding a little soul to your vehicle. Music Aid Northwest’s “Music Matters” specialty plates are available directly from the Washington State DOL.
