Music Canada is a Toronto, Ontario-based non-profit trade organization representing the interests of companies involved in recording, manufacturing, producing, promoting and distributing music in Canada. It serves as an industry-wide body for member companies and collaborates with recording studios, live music venues, concert promoters and managers to support the development of Canada's music ecosystem and nurture talent internationally. It administers Canada's Gold/Platinum awards for best-selling recordings and represents the Canadian recording industry to government bodies and international peers through its membership in the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). It works with other industry groups to curb piracy, promote legal digital music services, and improve public understanding of the sector, while producing research and statistics for stakeholders. Recent activity includes continued participation in JUNO Awards events, including the Gala and Broadcast in 2025 and 2026.
